Volpaia, one of the leading producers of Chianti Classico, donated the entire production of their best wine to the no-profit organization Save the Children. Lumen contributed its design services free of charge in support of the initiative. Great attention was dedicated to the “handcrafted” packaging of this very fine wine named “Il Puro”, which means “The Pure”.
The limited edition of 1,483 bottles were produced from strictly organic native vines cultivated in the hilltop village of Volpaia. Proceeds from sales have helped to build schools, supply teaching materials and clean water for 960 children in the Tigray region of northern Ethiopia.
