Comodynes is a Spanish brand known worldwide for their “Convenient Cosmetics”. Dermofarm, a Ganassini company, asked Lumen to refresh the brand, maintaining its simple look but giving it a more contemporary and appealing image.
Lumen developed the new identity and claim, packaging design, advertising and below the line materials.
Rilastil is Italy’s best selling and number-one doctor recommended skincare line created by the Milan based pharmaceutical company, Istituto Ganassini. Rilastil was the first cosmeceutical produced in the world specifically designed with medicinal-like properties.
Lumen was asked to update the brand with an identity that would reinforce its pharmaceutical credentials but in a modern, more emotional way that could support the development and launch of new product lines.
Lumen has been a partner with Ganassini for years working on brands such as Sensilis, Korff and Bioclin.
The Korff brand was acquired by Ganassini in 2009. Korff products are distributed exclusively in pharmacies, and Lumen was asked to help reaffirm the brand’s position in the premium segment which had steadily been eroded by an ever growing number of competitors.
This brand renewal has involved everything from new product development to packaging design, promotional and point of sales material and advertising.
The result? Since starting the project two years ago sales have doubled from 5 to 10 million of Euros.
Established in 1935, Istituto Ganassini is a leading company in pharmaceutical cosmetics and personal hygiene, present in 21 countries on 5 continents. Lumen was asked to help to reposition and renovate the Bio Clin range of “Phytodermatologic” products. The relaunch, which included new packaging, POS and sales material, increased sales dramatically (+300% sell-in, +57% sell-out) in the first six months – with no advertising support. The project also received the 2009 GrandPrix of Design.
This success has allowed the development of an expanding range of new products of which Lumen is overseeing development and branding.
